MARRIOTT HAS ANNOUNCED A NEW PROGRAM TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY STAYS FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS. THE PILOT PROGRAM KNOWN AS HOTEL HELP DONTAES ROOMS WITHIN THE MARRIOTT EXISTING PORTFOLIO OF HOTELS. CURRENTLY THE PROGRAM IS BEING PILOTED IN FIVE U.S. CITIES AND IS LOOKING TO EXPAND TO TWENTY-FIVE CITIES ACROSS NORTH AMERICA BY JANUARY 2025. THE PILOT PROGRAM ALLOWS UP TO FIVE ROOM NIGHTS PER PERSON AFFECTED BY HUMAN TRAFFICKING WITH LOCAL CARE PARTNERS PARTNERING WITH INDIVIDUAL HOTEL PROPERTIES. THE RESULTS REVEAL THAT PASSENGER PREFERENCES VARY BASED ON SEAT LOCATION, AIRLINE COMFORT, AND SPECIFIC NEEDS.
