NEW YORK – Visiting the big apple can be extremely overwhelming with lots of places to see and things to do. You may be wondering if the Guggenheim Museum is worth the visit and if you can add it into your busy New York trip.
I really enjoyed visiting the Guggenheim Museum due to its unique architectural design. The museum itself is a work of art and truly took my breath away.

Guggenheim Museum Layout
The museum features six floors with each floor offering unique pieces. Exhibits change frequently at the Guggenheim so the best way to find out the latest offerings is to view the visitor guide on the Guggenheim website.
Favorite Pieces
The museum features amazing works and the following are just a few that I saw when I visited that truly could not just be captured by an image. Seeing them in person was such a unique experience.

Tips for your Visit
To help your visit go as smoothly as possible I highly recommend reviewing the FAQ on the Guggenheim Museum. The FAQ answers a lot of commonly asked questions.
Coat / Bag Check
According to the Guggenheim website, a bag / coat check is available free with admission. However, no items larger than 22in X 14in X 9in including all handles and wheels are permitted at all.
Food / Drink
There is a cafe in the museum open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. that serve a variety of items. Outside food and beverage items are not permitted at all. Personal water bottles are an exception and can be allowed.
Directions to the Museum
The museum is located at 1071 5th Avenue, New York, New York. You are able to get to the museum with the subway or by driving / ride share.
In my personal experience I would recommend using the subway and bus while in NYC as it was much faster than driving and also costs less.
Getting your Tickets
Getting your tickets can be purchased from multiple places. However, my favorite place to get tickets is from Get Your Guide. They feature unique benefits that can only be found on their website.
The Guggenheim Museum tickets feature free cancellation, being able to reserve now and pay later, and most importantly being able to skip the line to enter inside. The line to enter when I went took 45 mins and by having this ticket I was able to enter much faster.
