Launching in mid-2026 the new cabin will be in the A380 aircraft giving passengers a modern and luxury feel. Features within the seat include a 32-inch screen, space to dine with others during meal services, and personal luggage space.

Seat Features

Curve shapes throughout the cabin highlight the concord wings synonymous with British Airways. Window blinds can be activated by the push of a button for all three windows per seat. Paneling within the seat helps absorb sound and acoustics furthering the feeling of privacy. Passengers who would like to maximize their rest may use a new do not disturb feature notifying cabin crew.

“We’re incredibly proud to launch the next era of First that pushes the boundaries of comfort, luxury and modernity, taking into consideration customer preferences and expectations to the finest detail, said Calum Laming british airways’ chief customer officer

Feedback from cabin crew and passengers were a critical part of the design process so that the first-class seat could best replicate the amenities from home while traveling, said the airline

This comes as British Airways invests more than $9 billion throughout the airline benefitting the passenger experience by new short-haul seats, free Wi-Fi messaging on board and much more.
