Alaska announces new nonstop service from Seattle to Seoul Incheon starting Sept. 12

Alaska Airlines has taken its first step to growing into a truly global airline. Starting Sept. 12, passengers can fly from Seattle to Seoul Incheon nonstop. This comes as Alaska looks to expand its Seattle hub with international service. 

By 2030, Alaska looks forward to serving 12 international nonstop destinations from Seattle including Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Narita. The daily Seattle to Tokyo Narita service begins on May 12. Over 104 nonstop destinations can be accessed from the Seattle hub making it convenient for connections across the Alaska network.

Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Harrison said, “With our robust network, we can connect our guests through our global gateway in Seattle for convenient nonstop service to Seoul and Tokyo, with additional connections to other Asian destinations with our global partners.” 

Alaska plans to utilize the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the route in the future. 

At time of publication the September schedule has been released with the Seattle to Seoul Incheon service departing at 3:25 p.m. and arriving the next day at 6:50 p.m. local time. The flight is scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 

The return segment of the service Seoul Incheon to Seattle departs at 8:50 p.m. and arrives the same day at 3:00 p.m. local time. The flight is scheduled for Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Both segments of the service will be utilizing the A330 aircraft.
